(CNA) Yomiuri Giants manager Shinnosuke Abe was briefly arrested for allegedly assaulting his eldest daughter. Japanese media reported that the daughter followed advice from an AI chatbot to report the incident to authorities. Police also detected alcohol in Abe's breath. Police stated that the 47-year-old Abe allegedly pushed his 18-year-old daughter at their home in Shibuya, Tokyo, yesterday. The Giants issued an apology and are evaluating disciplinary action, with head hitting coach Hideki Hashigami serving as acting manager. Abe admitted to the act, stating he got angry after his daughter talked back during a dispute between sisters.
