Upon stopping the vehicle for inspection, they noticed the driver's condition was abnormal. A subsequent saliva test showed a positive result for drugs. The police seized the person and the vehicle and transferred the case to the Taiwan Taichung District Prosecutors Office for investigation in accordance with the law. The Dongshi Precinct stated that officers discovered the traffic violation at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Sanmin Street in Dongshi District. After stopping the driver, they found drug-related paraphernalia. Following the positive saliva test, police completed evidence collection, seized the vehicle, and referred the driver to the Taichung District Prosecutors Office for violating the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act and for public endangerment.
