Central News Agency, Taipei, May 26. Drone logistics is an international trend. The CAA announced today that after years of pilot programs, it has established 10 projects with a total of 24 drone logistics corridors. Items transported include mail, daily necessities, and medical supplies. The CAA held a 'Drone Logistics Operations Guidance Meeting' today. While drones are already widely used in Taiwan for aerial photography, monitoring, agricultural spraying, and disaster rescue, logistics is a growing field. The CAA plans to expand medical supply delivery from Hualien to hospitals in Hsinchu in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Welfare. CAA Director-General Ho Shu-ping stated that the agency will continue to refine regulations and safety management mechanisms to ensure the industry's robust development. The standard width for logistics corridors is defined as 100 meters.
