As the number of young people going abroad for working holidays continues to rise, the Youth Development Administration (YDA) of the Ministry of Education will hold a seminar on July 17. The event aims to provide comprehensive information, including employment details and medical services, to help young people prepare for their trips. The YDA noted that Taiwan has signed working holiday agreements with countries including New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Canada, Germany, South Korea, the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, attracting tens of thousands of applicants annually. To ensure the rights and safety of these youths, the YDA is organizing the 'Youth Overseas Working Holiday Seminar' to provide insights into regulations and current conditions. Registration is open until the 220-person capacity is reached. The event is free. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and participating countries will explain visa processes, and experienced participants will share their stories. Agencies will also provide information on employment, traffic safety, medical services, and human trafficking prevention.
