According to the Central News Agency, Ruentex Group Chairman Yin Yen-liang passed away this morning. NYCU and its medical school issued a statement expressing their condolences, thanking Yin for his selfless dedication to the biomedical and education sectors, describing him as the key 'unsung hero' behind the progress of medical education in Taiwan. NYCU stated that Yin had long cared for and supported the university's development. Important facilities such as the Shou-Ren Building, the Medical Building, the Shu-Tien Surgical Training Center, and various international exchange centers were all built through his generous donations. NYCU noted that Yin had long invested in the cultivation of physician-scientists and the 'Rong-Yang-Jiao Excellence Physician Training Program,' actively assisting students and faculty in pursuing advanced studies abroad. Over the years, more than 1,860 faculty and students have benefited from his support. The medical school expressed deep sorrow and paid tribute to his visionary leadership and selfless spirit, which will remain a lasting legacy at the university.
