The 24th annual '2026 Summer Jazz' festival, hosted by the National Theater and Concert Hall (NTCH), will kick off in August. The event features two-time Grammy winner Nicole Zuraitis, renowned saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin, and Golden Melody Award-winning singer Lee Chu-hsin, who will perform at the outdoor party. During the press conference, NTCH Artistic Director Chiu Yuan stated that since its inception in 2003, the festival has been dedicated to introducing diverse jazz styles to Taiwanese fans and fostering local talent through international collaboration. The program includes master-level performances by Lakecia Benjamin, who has six Grammy nominations, and legendary drummer Peter Erskine, who will perform with vibraphonist Mike Mainieri. Additionally, the 'NTCH Summer Jazz Festival Orchestra,' celebrating its 15th anniversary, will be upgraded with a string section under the direction of Michael Mossman. The highly anticipated outdoor party will take place on August 15 at the NTCH Arts Plaza, showcasing the cross-disciplinary energy of Taiwan's jazz scene. The festival runs from August 7 to August 29.
