Central News Agency, Hanoi, May 26. The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that it will host the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum in Hanoi from June 9 to 10. High-level delegations from ASEAN member states are expected to attend. In addition to development, the forum will focus on energy security and how to peacefully resolve disputes and overlapping sovereignty claims. Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong stated that leaders from ASEAN countries, international organizations, and business representatives will participate. The forum will also touch upon the South China Sea issue and the 'Code of Conduct' (COC) negotiations in the context of maintaining regional peace and stability. The forum was initiated by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in 2023.
