The Taroko National Park Headquarters and Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 26 to establish a tourism safety network. The agreement focuses on emergency medical care and the promotion of low-carbon tourism in mountain and coastal settlements. Witnessed by Wang Cheng-chi, Director of the National Park Service, the MOU was signed by Liu Shou-li, Director of Taroko National Park, and Lin Hsin-jung, Superintendent of Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital. Wang praised the cross-sector collaboration as a model for public-private partnerships. Liu noted that this agreement elevates their existing cooperation to a more systematic level, ushering in a new era of safety and sustainability for the park.
