According to the Central News Agency, the Kaohsiung City Government announced on the 26th that, in response to global economic shifts and manufacturing pressures, it will waive the 'double gold' management fees for registered and specific factories for the 115th fiscal year. The city will also expand environmental improvement subsidies, offering up to NT$1.5 million. The Economic Development Bureau stated that this measure covers both the 'unregistered factory management guidance fee' and the 'specific factory operation management fee.' Under the current system, businesses pay between NT$20,000 and NT$100,000 annually. Mayor Chen Chi-mai emphasized that Kaohsiung, a hub for metal manufacturing, aims to support traditional industries facing international tariff and economic challenges. Additionally, the city will subsidize up to 49% of costs for fire safety and energy-saving equipment, capped at NT$1.5 million. Industry representatives have welcomed the move as vital support for small and medium-sized manufacturers.
