According to the Central News Agency, three men—surnamed Lin, Gong, and Chen—carried tools such as bolt cutters and broke into an abandoned technical college in Kaohsiung's Daliao District four times. They stole high-voltage cables and wires belonging to the school and a telecommunications company, selling them for profit. The total value of the stolen items reached 1,027,250 TWD. According to the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office, Lin first climbed over the wall on the morning of October 12 last year, scouting the area and manipulating security cameras to avoid detection. Later, he and his accomplices returned multiple times to cut and remove the cables. They sold the stolen goods, earning between 5,000 and 30,000 TWD per heist. After the school and the telecommunications company reported the thefts, police tracked down the suspects. The prosecutors have indicted the three men for aggravated theft.
