Central News Agency, Taipei, 26th. Giljegiljaw Kungkuan of the CPBL's Wei Chuan Dragons has been in the minor leagues since April due to a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Manager Yeh Chun-chang stated that Kungkuan has recovered significantly and will play in a minor league game on the 28th to evaluate his condition before deciding on his next steps. Kungkuan was injured in early April while fielding a ground ball at first base and was sent to the minor leagues on April 5th. He resumed batting practice in mid-April, and Manager Yeh noted that while the injury has little impact on his batting, the main concern is his running. In the minor league games, he will primarily serve as a designated hitter, and if defensive play is required, he will play at first base; he will not return to the catcher position for the time being. The Dragons are starting a two-game series against the Fubon Guardians at the Taipei Dome today, with Tseng Jen-ho scheduled to start tomorrow. Regarding Bryan Woodall, who started the second game last week, Manager Yeh indicated he will likely start on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
