According to the Central News Agency, Chen Tzu-hao of the CPBL's Wei Chuan Dragons is struggling with his batting this season. Before today's game, he had played in 28 games with 14 hits in 97 at-bats, a batting average of .144, and zero home runs. Manager Yeh Jun-zhang explained his decision to keep Chen in the first team rather than sending him to the minor leagues, stating, 'Hitting is interesting; his approach isn't bad, he just isn't getting the results.' Yeh noted that instead of giving him more at-bats in the minor leagues, he wants Chen to regain his confidence by starting in the first team. 'I want him to have confidence in himself. Once a turning point comes, his performance will improve. I have a lot of confidence in him,' Yeh said, emphasizing his support for the struggling player.
