TPBL Finals: Dreamers Defeat Kings 99-90, Tie the Series

In Game 2 of the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL) Finals, the Formosa Dreamers defeated the New Taipei Kings 99-90 at home, tying the series at 1-1. The game was highly physical, with constant minor conflicts between the two teams. Aric Holman came off the bench to score 22 points and grab 10 rebounds for the Dreamers. The TPBL Finals are a best-of-seven series, and Game 3 will take place on May 29 at the New Taipei Kings' home court, Xinzhuang Gymnasium. After a narrow loss in the first game, the Dreamers started strong, leading 28-20 in the first quarter and extending their lead to 50-39 by halftime. In the second half, the Dreamers maintained a lead of around 10 points, despite an incident in the third quarter where center Brandon Gilbeck was struck in the face by an elbow from Kings player Jalen Harris. Gilbeck returned to the game after treatment. Dreamers guard Chiang Yu-an noted after the game that the team successfully executed the coach's defensive strategy, particularly in pressuring Jalen Harris, who was held to 12 points.
