3-Day Exhibition Celebrating Xiang Xiang's 9th Birthday and Photo Book 'Xiang Xiang in Tokyo' Announced

Kochi Gakuen Co., Ltd., a company in the publishing business, will hold a free event, the 'Great Panda Exhibition,' for three days from June 20 to June 22, 2026, at the JMF Building in Takadanobaba, Tokyo.

This event commemorates the publication of the photo book 'Xiang Xiang in Tokyo: Unforgettable, Irreplaceable Days,' which features photographs of Xiang Xiang taken during her time at Ueno Zoo by Chinese animal photographer Zhou Mengqi. It is also being held to celebrate Xiang Xiang's 9th birthday.

At the venue's photo exhibition, pictures from the book will be displayed on panels. The merchandise area will offer original goods such as T-shirts, keychains, and magnets, as well as acrylic blocks that were popular at a previous event. A wide variety of other panda-themed items will also be available.

Additionally, workshops including a 'Sichuan Language Introductory Lesson' and a 'Plastic Keychain Making Experience' will be held. Advance reservations are required to participate.
