Osaka-based trio rock band reGretGirl has announced the release of their new digital single 'Last Dance' on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

'Last Dance' is a heartfelt breakup song filled with lingering emotions, depicting a couple dancing through the final moments of their relationship.

The lyrics portray a self-centered man desperately trying to keep up with his partner's rhythm, clumsily dancing on as he plays the role of the 'considerate boyfriend'—a poignant and relatable depiction of emotional struggle.

Contrasting the bittersweet lyrics, the track features an upbeat, catchy sound that's instantly hummable. With its lively melody and infectious energy, 'Last Dance' perfectly captures reGretGirl's signature summer vibe.

【Profile】

Formed in Osaka in 2015, reGretGirl is a sentimental guitar rock band known for their emotionally resonant lyrics and catchy melodies.

The band's name originated from frontman Hirabe's vow after being dumped by his girlfriend: 'I'll become famous and make her regret it.'

They made their major debut in 2021 with their first full album 'Curtain Call' under Nippon Columbia.

In 2025, they celebrated their 10th anniversary with the release of their third major album 'LOVESR'. The track 'Ever Song' from this album was used as the CM song for 'Yanaya Anzu Oil'. That same year, they held their largest solo tour to date, 'reGretGirl presents ONEMAN TOUR 2025 'for LOVERS''.

Starting April 2026, they will perform the opening theme for the TV anime 'I Became Friends With the Second Cutest Girl in Class'.
