COMMON Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Yuki Masuda; Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto) will hold 'Commons Connect in Kumamoto' on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Kumamoto City International Center, 4F Conference Room.

Commons Connect is a networking event designed to solve regional issues by fostering meetings and co-creation beyond industries, generations, and positions. It aims to connect government officials, businesses, local operators, students, and public organization personnel without barriers, allowing them to share regional challenges and potential, leading to future collaborations and business development.

This event in Kumamoto focuses on regional revitalization through crowdfunding, exploring possibilities for refining local resources, developing sales channels, building fans, and public-private partnerships.

Additionally, the 'Japan Material Koshien Kumamoto Tournament,' which showcases the value of primary industries and regional resources from across Japan, is scheduled to take place on June 27 (Sat) and June 28 (Sun). Commons Connect Kumamoto will serve as a pre-event networking opportunity, allowing government, business, and local participants to connect in advance and experience the appeal of local materials and food at the main festival the following day.

Commons Connect is designed not as a one-off event, but with the premise of moving from 'Meeting to Dialogue, to Project Formulation, to Regional Implementation.'

In this session, crowdfunding will be taken up as a practical theme. The keynote speaker will be Tomoyuki Kawabe, Representative Director of Percival Co., Ltd., who has supported over 800 crowdfunding projects with a total of approximately 700 million yen raised.

The workshop will cover not only methods for fundraising, but also how to create projects using local resources, build a fan base, develop distribution channels, and scale regional businesses.

The facilitator will be Kazuki Hayashi of LOCUS BRiDGE LLC. Drawing on his experience as a former local government official, Mr. Hayashi is engaged in promoting public-private partnerships, acting as a bridge between the government and private companies.
