Nihon Comthink to Hold "Zero Distance Retreat" on World Heritage Kumano Kodo Trail

Nihon Comthink Inc. (Head Office: Edobori, Nishi-ku, Osaka / Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masamoto Yamasato), which handles DX consulting and system development in a wide range of fields, will hold a "Zero Distance Retreat" for executives on the World Heritage Kumano Kodo trail in Nachikatsuura Town, Wakayama Prefecture, in June 2026.

This initiative is a new form of executive retreat that emphasizes "walking together" and "dialogue in nature," rather than traditional conference room-centered training.

◆. Background - Building a "Management Team" towards R100

Our company currently aims for "R100," a medium-term growth plan targeting 10 billion yen in sales by 2030.

To transition to a rapid growth phase while evolving our business structure and organization itself, rather than continuing on the current trajectory, we believe it is essential to quickly build relationships where executives can have frank dialogues across departments and positions.

On the other hand, in the context of daily work and conference room environments, it can be difficult to have candid conversations and build new relationships due to the influence of fixed roles and positions.

Therefore, we planned this retreat with the idea that "getting away from the everyday, walking together, and spending time together" might create new changes in our organization and relationships.

Internally, we call this initiative the "Zero Distance Retreat."

By physically walking the same path and conversing while seeing the same scenery, we aim to reduce the distance between departments and roles, and foster "dialogue that doesn't happen in conference rooms."

The Kumano Kodo, chosen as the venue for this retreat, is not just a tourist destination but a special regional asset with historical and cultural backgrounds of "pilgrimage" and "rebirth."

We expect that by engaging in dialogue while moving our bodies in a natural environment, we will foster communication and essential discussions about the organization's future that cannot be achieved in everyday settings.

Furthermore, through this initiative, we believe that unique regional assets hold new potential not only for tourism but also for corporate training, human resource development, and organizational development.
