(This release is a summary of the announcement made by SAP headquarters on March 18, 2025, Japan time.) SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced new AI capabilities, enhancements to travel and expense management features, and the expansion of new and existing partnerships at "SAP Concur Fusion 2026," the flagship event for SAP Concur users and experts held in New Orleans.
SAP is expanding Joule across SAP Concur to provide new automation features. ・ A new integration between Joule and Microsoft 365 Copilot allows travel and expense tasks to be completed within daily business applications. Employees can create and submit expense reports, upload receipts, book travel, and receive policy-compliant guidance without leaving Microsoft applications. ・ Two new Joule agents are being introduced to drive efficiency in expense compliance and reporting. Expense Automation Agent: Automatically creates employee expense reports and pre-fills necessary information. Users simply review, adjust, and submit to complete the expense claim. Expense Pre-Submit Audit Agent: Validates receipts before submission and detects discrepancies. This helps reduce report rejections and payment delays. Both agents are currently available through the SAP Early Adopter Care program and are scheduled for general availability later this year. ・ A new AI-based rule creation tool simplifies policy rule management across Complete by SAP Concur and Amex GBT, Concur Travel, and Concur Expense. ・ SAP Sales Cloud is now integrated with the Booking Agent, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity for sales teams.
SAP Concur and American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) announced new innovations in "Complete," an AI-enabled joint solution that integrates travel booking, service, payment, and expense processing. New features include AI-powered travel support (with seamless handoff to travel counselors when needed) and a dedicated homepage for travel managers. Additionally, Concur Expense will be integrated with Amex GBT Egencia for customers worldwide.
