Mobile battery manufacturers (Anker Japan Co., Ltd., INFORICH Inc., EcoFlow Technology Japan K.K., ELECOM Co., Ltd., OWLTECH Co., Ltd., CIO Co., Ltd., Ugreen Japan Co., Ltd.) and telecom carriers (NTT Group, KDDI Corporation, SoftBank Corp., Rakuten Mobile, Inc.) have signed a collaborative agreement to secure power supply in disaster-stricken areas during large-scale disasters.

Under this agreement, starting June 1, 2026, manufacturers will procure and provide power equipment, while telecom carriers will distribute them to emergency shelters based on needs and disaster conditions.

With increasing digitalization, securing power during disasters has become critical. While individual support by manufacturers can be challenging, leveraging the network of telecom carriers that maintain communication environments at shelters allows for faster power distribution. This ensures victims can charge smartphones to contact families and acquaintances.

Moving forward, the companies plan to conduct joint drills and expand the number of collaborating partners to achieve sustainable social contributions.
