Connectiv Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuki Ishii; hereinafter "Connectiv"), a company engaged in blockchain-related businesses, has utilized its event platform "Snapshot" to record student behavior history on the blockchain at a study cafe in the central urban area of Miyakonojo City. This was achieved with the cooperation of the "Study Cafe Project Team" of Miyakonojo Izumigaoka High School in Miyazaki Prefecture and Koji Ikeda, a regional project manager of Miyakonojo City.

About the Use of Blockchain at Miyakonojo City Study Cafe

The central urban area study cafe in Miyakonojo City is a social experiment being conducted in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture, providing a place where pupils and students can concentrate on studying. This initiative aims to create liveliness by attracting pupils and students to the central urban area. In this initiative, a mechanism was introduced that allows students using the study cafe to use the check-in function by scanning a QR code of the Snapshot service provided by Connectiv, enabling them to keep a record of their visits. As a result, students can keep a record of their own visits while also achieving an operation where they receive benefits according to the number of visits. Furthermore, because these behavioral data are recorded on the blockchain, they can be utilized as highly reliable data without tampering.
