The "mume Pink the rich / mume Pink Torotoro Set" is a special set that allows you to enjoy a comparative tasting of two types of pink plum wines made using "Tsuyuakane," a rare new variety of plum. The set consists of "mume Pink the rich," which uses a larger amount of plums than usual for a clear transparency, and "mume Pink Torotoro," which is blended with the pulp of Nanko plums and Tsuyuakane to create a rich, thick texture.

What is "mume"?

"mume (Mume)" is a new sensation "transparent natural plum wine" born from Japan's first patented new manufacturing method, the "Hyoshitsu Selective Extraction Method." It draws out the authentic aroma of ripe plums and a fruity, elegant taste to the utmost extent, which were previously extremely difficult to extract. Due to the highly specialized technology, mass production is challenging, making it a rare delicacy that can only be savored here. Its reliable quality and deliciousness have been supported by many customers, with the series surpassing a cumulative total of 18,000 bottles sold, including its pre-sale on Makuake.

This is a luxurious bottle that maintains the clear transparency of the regular "mume" while increasing the amount of plums used in the brewing process. Its most distinctive feature is the blend of "Tsuyuakane," a rare variety created by crossing plums and plums, into the base Nanko plum wine. Tsuyuakane is a fruit that turns a deep red, with its red pigment (anthocyanin) said to be about 60 times that of Nanko plums. To preserve this beautiful red pigment, which is sensitive to heat, frozen pulp was carefully steeped using our proprietary low-temperature brewing method. By extracting approximately twice the amount of red pigment compared to using fresh fruit, we have achieved an elegant and beautiful pink color. It is characterized by its fresh and vibrant yet subtly berry-like sweet and sour, rich aroma and taste.

【mume Pink Torotoro】

This is a rich pink plum wine that evolves the texture of the regular "mume Torotoro," finished with a unique method that minimizes fruit pulp fibers. By blending a generous amount of "Tsuyuakane" pulp into the Nanko plum pulp, we have expressed a deep, vibrant pink color, much like strawberries. To pursue a "richly thick" texture that spreads lusciously in the mouth, we meticulously hand-select only the ripest plums with excellent flavor. Furthermore, the pulp used is the leftover pulp from the production of "mume Pink the rich," utilized without waste. This is a sustainable delicacy that encapsulates the full bounty of the plum fruit, also considering environmental impact.
