Minna-no-Ginko Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Kenichi Nagayoshi, hereinafter 'Minna-no-Ginko') has launched the provision of a payout API to Bookoff Corporation (hereinafter 'Bookoff') for its upgraded in-store buyback service, 'Omakase Buyback' (formerly Cashless Buyback).
As a result, customers using the 'Omakase Buyback' service can now choose to receive payment directly into their bank accounts. By selecting a Minna-no-Ginko account as the receiving account, customers can receive funds at no cost (a 200 yen fee applies when using other financial institutions), making it a more cost-effective option.
Minna-no-Ginko and Bookoff signed a basic agreement in November 2025 regarding BaaS (Banking-as-a-Service) initiatives, aiming to enhance the value of Bookoff's services through the integration of Minna-no-Ginko's financial functions and services. The current implementation of the payout API into the 'Omakase Buyback' service is the outcome of these collaborative discussions.
