NAVITIME JAPAN and Taiwan Hotel Association Sign Basic Agreement to Promote Tourism in Taiwan

NAVITIME JAPAN Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Keisuke Onishi, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has signed a basic agreement on collaboration with the Taiwan Hotel Association (Chairman: Chung-Yuan Hung, Location: West District, Chiayi City) in January 2026, aiming to promote inbound tourism in Taiwan.

As the first initiative under this agreement, starting June 2026, NAVITIME JAPAN has been distributing promotional stickers encouraging the use of its 'Taiwan Travel by NAVITIME' app at hotels across Taiwan. Now, as part of the full-scale rollout of this partnership, the company will begin providing information on the 4,000 hotels affiliated with the Taiwan Hotel Association directly within the app.

According to Taiwan's Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the total number of inbound foreign visitors to Taiwan in 2025 reached approximately 8.57 million※, indicating strong expectations for continued growth in Taiwan's tourism market.

This agreement aims to support comfortable travel experiences in Taiwan and contribute to the revitalization of inbound tourism. By combining NAVITIME JAPAN's technological expertise in its Taiwan travel navigation app 'Taiwan Travel by NAVITIME' with the Taiwan Hotel Association's extensive network of hotels, both parties will leverage their respective assets to promote tourism.

Areas of Joint Collaboration

The Taiwan Hotel Association will promote the use of 'Taiwan Travel by NAVITIME' among travelers currently in Taiwan by displaying stickers and distributing brochures at the front desks and other locations in its 4,000 member hotels.

NAVITIME JAPAN will integrate data from hotels affiliated with the Taiwan Hotel Association into the app and display them on maps and other sections. By increasing hotel awareness before travel and supporting mobility during travel, the company aims to enhance the overall traveler experience.

The tourism data collected from 'Taiwan Travel by NAVITIME' will be analyzed for potential use in future tourism strategies and initiatives.

NAVITIME JAPAN aims to support travelers in enjoying a safe and comfortable experience exploring Taiwan, leveraging its proprietary route search and navigation technologies, as well as the insights and expertise gained from providing the inbound tourism navigation app 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' to foreign visitors to Japan.
