Pia Corporation (Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Yanai) will release the June issue of its monthly entertainment information magazine, 'Tobu Pia,' which connects print media's overview capabilities with digital media like the Pia app and website, on June 8, 2026.

The June issue features a double cover that allows readers to enjoy two visuals on the front and back. One side features Kazunari Ninomiya, the 'face' of the new project 'Secret Cinema.' The other side, in celebration of the World Cup year, features Japan national soccer team manager Hajime Moriyasu, freshly illustrated by Masamichi Oikawa, who has long been the artist behind 'Pia' magazine covers.

The feature theme is 'The Power of Places Where Entertainment is Born.' In an age where movies and concerts can be enjoyed at home, why do we still visit movie theaters, venues, and live houses? Through four 'places'—movie theaters, theaters, live houses, and street corners—we explore the appeal of entertainment that we want to deliver now.

[Feature/Scene 01: Movie Theaters] Kazunari Ninomiya × Key Players in the Film Industry: 'Movie Theaters are Places for Encounters with the Unknown' An exclusive crosstalk was realized between Kazunari Ninomiya, the ambassador for 'Secret Cinema,' and two industry key figures: Hiroyasu Matsuoka (President, Toho Co., Ltd.) and Shinichi Sasaki (Chairman, Sasaki Kogyo Co., Ltd.). They discuss the appeal of watching movies in theaters from the perspectives of creators, exhibitors, and the audience.

[Feature/Scene 02–04] To Theaters, Live Houses, and Streets. Scene 02: Theaters—Director Hidenori Inoue and screenwriter/director Mitsunori Fukuhara discuss the possibilities of the stage as a 'place.' Scene 03: Live Houses—Flower Companyz (Keisuke Suzuki and Great Maekawa) talk about the heat and charm of live houses. Scene 04: Streets—Shibuya's large-scale redevelopment serves as the stage for a next-generation culture project, 'FROM STREET PROJECT.' We interviewed Kunihiko Kijima of Tokyu Corporation.

[Special Feature] 'Michael' Feature The biographical film 'Michael' about Michael Jackson, releasing on June 12, is featured in a two-part series. We reveal all 12 poster visuals from both international and Japanese versions and explain key points to understand the film. A postcard featuring Michael Jackson illustrations by Masamichi Oikawa is included as a special attachment.
