MUFG NICOS to Offer Up to 20% Cashback (Up to ¥1,500) on Visa's Apple Pay Contactless Payments via "Global Point Wallet" at Participating Stores

MUFG NICOS will collaborate with Visa Worldwide (hereinafter referred to as Visa) to conduct the "Visa's Apple Pay Contactless Payment" campaign from June 11 to July 19, targeting members of our "Global Point Wallet". Participants will receive a cashback of up to 20% (up to ¥1,500) when using the service at designated stores.

This initiative is an extension of Visa's campaign, "Pay with Apple Pay! Touch & Get Visa Discount Campaign! (Even More Savings at Specific Stores!)", aimed at promoting the use of contactless payments, with MUFG NICOS adding its own benefits.

Specifically, by combining Visa's "10% cashback (up to ¥1,000)" with MUFG NICOS's "10% cashback (up to ¥500)", customers making purchases of ¥1,500 or more per transaction will receive a "maximum 20% cashback (up to ¥1,500)". This campaign aims to encourage the daily use of "Global Point Wallet".

What is "Global Point Wallet"?

"Global Point Wallet" is a mobile payment app provided by MUFG NICOS. It allows users to charge Global Points earned from using "MUFG Card" into their app balance at a rate of 1 point = 5 yen, which can then be used for contactless payments at Visa merchants nationwide. It also supports charging from credit cards and bank accounts, making it a convenient tool for various situations.

Features of "Global Point Wallet"

(1) Smartphone payments using earned points

Charge Global Points into "Global Point Wallet" at a rate of 1 point = 5 yen. Set it up with Apple Pay or Google Pay™ to use Visa contactless payments. 0.5% of the spending amount is automatically cashbacked to the app balance every 10th of the month.

(2) Charging from sources other than Global Points is also possible

In addition to Global Points, "Global Point Wallet" allows charging from credit cards issued by MUFG NICOS and its franchisees, as well as from bank accounts and debit cards (excluding MUFG Debit) of our partner financial institutions.

(3) Equipped with safety and security features

Includes various control functions such as setting spending limits (per transaction/monthly), real-time transaction notifications, and temporary suspension/resumption of usage.
