Cree.co.jp, Inc. (C&R) will offer free distribution of the archived video from the online seminar "Color Psychology for Creators Vol. 1: Reading the 'Backstory' of Color Schemes ~The Perspective of Over-Negative/Under-Negative~," which was held in June and targeted designers active in fields such as web, video, games, advertising, publishing, fashion, and interiors. The distribution will take place on July 31 (Fri).

Color schemes are an important element in design. When receiving instructions on color schemes from clients or directors, aren't you prone to viewing colors solely through "positive images" like "red = passion" and "blue = trust"? However, in reality, all colors have both positive and negative aspects, and there is a concept that new negatives arise from being "too strong" or "too weak." Therefore, C&R held a color psychology seminar with Shigeru Shimada, who is active as a colorist and lecturer, to help creators handle color schemes "more deeply and more accurately."

The first session conveys how to grasp the impressions given by color schemes from multiple perspectives, with "over-negative" and "under-negative" as new viewpoints for deciphering colors. We encourage those interested to watch.

*Please note that questions cannot be answered as this is an archived distribution.

<What We Will Discuss>

* Understanding the "Range" of Colors: What are Over-Negative/Under-Negative?

* A concrete explanation of how changes in color intensity affect impressions, using red as an example.

* How to decipher colors like green, blue, and yellow, for which negativity is difficult to imagine?

* Communication techniques to reduce discrepancies in understanding.

<What You Will Gain from This Seminar>

* A multifaceted perspective on colors to make color scheme judgments more precise.

* Storytelling-based verbalization to enhance your ability to explain to clients.

* How to identify negative factors to avoid "misreading" colors.

* Color checking methods that can be immediately applied in the field.

<Recommended For>

* Creators who want to make their design explanations more persuasive.

* Those who feel a sense of discomfort with instructed color schemes but cannot articulate the reasons well.

* Individuals who want to learn color psychology in a "practical, usable form."

* Directors who want to align color perception with their teams and clients.

Colorist / Training Instructor

Graduated from Sophia University, Faculty of Comparative Culture (now Faculty of Liberal Arts). After working in the travel and web industries, he has been working as a lecturer and language instructor for 11 years. While in the web industry, he began studying color with the desire to propose color utilization that would be convincing not only in terms of feeling and emotion but also theoretically to clients. Since then, he has focused on the impressions and psychology that colors give, rather than outward-focused personal color, and has become interested in base colors, color therapy, and color numerology. He has obtained qualifications from multiple organizations to achieve a balanced and multifaceted approach.
