Creeks & Rivers Co., Ltd. (C&R) will host a free online seminar series titled 'Chris's Lunchtime English Conversation' every Thursday in August 2026, targeting creative professionals. The 15-minute sessions, held during lunchtime, focus on practical themes: 'Daily Life & Buildings' and 'Healthcare English'.

In recent years, globalization in the creative industry has accelerated, increasing opportunities to collaborate with overseas creatives on production sites and projects. In response, C&R is launching this seminar series under the theme of 'learning English while having fun,' offering creatives an accessible way to engage with English.

Weekly Thursday sessions are divided into two themes: 'Daily Life & Buildings' and 'Healthcare English'. The instructor is Chris Larimore, who has lived in Japan for nearly 30 years and currently manages language education programs at C&R. Each session is just 15 minutes—perfect for listening in while enjoying lunch. Whether you've been meaning to learn English, need it for work, or are considering expanding overseas, we welcome your participation!

With 20 years of experience at global language companies, Chris has taught diverse classes including corporate training, university courses, children's programs, and TOEIC preparation. Currently, he manages language education programs at C&R, focusing on English for Japanese learners and Japanese for foreign residents. Originally from the U.S., he moved to Japan nearly 30 years ago and lives in Tokyo's downtown area with his wife, son, daughter, and two pet turtles. He enjoys American football, craft beer, Japanese history, and local festivals!
