Creek & River Co., Ltd. (C&R) is offering free archived videos of the seminar series "Revit Equation: Escape from Beginner Level - The Family Mechanism Beginners Should Know Vol.5/Vol.6," held in April and June 2024, targeting BIM operators and designers with limited Revit experience. Vol.5 will be distributed on Wednesday, October 7, and Vol.6 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Autodesk's Revit, a BIM software widely used in architectural design globally and in Japan, enables accurate and high-precision 3D modeling. However, for beginners, mastering its rich features is not easy. Many users face challenges such as "I can't operate it as I want," "I only know what I've been taught because I don't understand the system," or "I broke the data while tinkering." To address these issues, C&R holds seminars to deepen understanding of Revit from the basics. In this archived seminar, Ms. Mayu Nakagawa, a BIM manager active in Revit promotion and BIM implementation support for companies, served as the lecturer.

In Vol.5, she explained "Customization and Utilization of Profile Families," one of the crucial family mechanisms in Revit. In Vol.6, she explained "Basic Structure and Usage of Fitting Families." Ms. Mayu Nakagawa

After working at Toyobo Engineering Co., Ltd. and Human Academy Co., Ltd., she established Amuse Works Co., Ltd. in 1999. She introduced Revit in 2005. In 2007, she presented a tea room created with Revit at Autodesk University in Las Vegas. She has been active in promoting and explaining Revit, including serving as a steering member (secretary) of the Revit User Group. Currently, she provides BIM implementation support for companies, contract work for house manufacturers, education at universities and vocational schools, modeling support within BIM projects, and contract creation of BIM models and parts.
