Cybertrust Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yuji Kitamura; hereinafter referred to as Cybertrust) announces the promotion of collaboration with SUSE (Japan Branch: SUSE Software Solutions Japan K.K., Country Manager: Gen Watanabe), a global leader in enterprise open source solutions promoting digital sovereignty*, as the second concrete measure following the "Trust Foundation Concept for Critical Infrastructure Supply Chains in the AI Era" announced on June 16, 2026, aiming to build a sovereign cloud-native foundation that Japanese companies can use with peace of mind.

By combining Cybertrust's domestic trust foundation with SUSE's global, cutting-edge AI technology, we aim to provide a new "AI Trust Foundation of Peace of Mind, Safety, and Reliability" to the Japanese market.

<Collaboration Details>

Cybertrust has registered as a Sapphire level member of SUSE's partner program, "SUSE One Partner Program," and will proceed with collaboration with SUSE for critical infrastructure supply chains.

By combining SUSE Rancher Prime, a container technology that forms the core of AI infrastructure, with AlmaLinux OS, which Cybertrust is promoting as a sovereign OS in the Japanese market, we will lower the barriers to AI infrastructure adoption for customers and provide a secure digital sovereignty platform.

Furthermore, by linking SUSE's AI infrastructure with Cybertrust's trust foundation, both companies will work to improve the security of containers themselves and the AI infrastructure, building an open, safe, secure, and long-term operable foundation.

*SUSE Rancher Prime: SUSE Rancher Prime is an efficient, self-service Kubernetes platform that strongly promotes cloud-native transformation in distributed cloud environments. It significantly shortens time-to-market and supports increased flexibility and optimized operational efficiency. It integrates virtualization capabilities, observability, robust security, AI utilization support, and enterprise-grade support. It simplifies Kubernetes management in multi-cloud environments and comprehensively supports the construction of platform infrastructure for companies.

<Background>

As we enter the AI era, digital sovereignty is gaining increasing attention. With the spread of generative AI, critical assets of nations and companies are expected to include not only data but also AI models, digital identities, software supply chains, and critical infrastructure control systems, posing significant economic security risks.

Europe, a major manufacturing hub like Japan, views digital sovereignty not merely as a policy or regulatory framework, but as a foundation that nations, administrations, and critical industries can manage and control themselves. They are promoting the use of open source to ensure the autonomy of critical infrastructure and government systems, avoiding excessive dependence on giant platform companies and data or technological dominance by foreign powers.

Among European nations promoting "digital sovereignty in the AI era," SUSE is positioned as a key player with the technological foundation to realize digital sovereignty.

In recent years, their strategy has centered on "Open by Design, Sovereign by Choice."

Restoring digital sovereignty is a common challenge not only for Europe but also for Japan. Digital sovereignty at the national level aims to protect citizens and critical infrastructure by autonomously managing the digital space from a security perspective. For companies, digital sovereignty is also crucial for creating a state where they can safely and independently manage and utilize their own data, AI, and systems based on management decisions.

Therefore, there is a demand for an AI execution platform that ensures digital sovereignty and open-source transparency for critical infrastructure operators and their supply chains in Japan, minimizes supply chain risks, and allows for the safe and continuous operation and management of IT infrastructure even in the AI era.

To address the challenges of digital sovereignty, Cybertrust will collaborate with SUSE, which promotes digital sovereignty strategies, to realize the "Trust Foundation Concept for Critical Infrastructure Supply Chains in the AI Era."
