Cybozu, Inc. has published a case study on the implementation of 'kintone' at Kitakyushu General Hospital. To alleviate the burden of registry registration for fracture patients, the hospital began improving its data collection processes in 2025. In collaboration with Japan Medical Information Support (NMIS), they developed 'MEDITAL,' a solution built on the kintone platform. By integrating AI-OCR technology, the hospital reduced data entry time from up to 30 minutes per case to just 5-6 minutes. This initiative addresses the 'data collection wall' created by mandatory registry requirements under new medical fee systems. Vice Director Fukuda emphasized that high-quality medical care is difficult to maintain without operational efficiency, and the hospital plans to expand this solution to orthopedic facilities nationwide.
