Daihatsu to Exhibit Light Welfare Vehicles and Mobility Services for Welfare and Care at "Barrier Free 2026" Exhibition

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. ("Daihatsu") will exhibit at "The 32nd General Welfare Exhibition Barrier Free 2026," the largest comprehensive exhibition for welfare equipment in Western Japan, to be held at Intex Osaka from Wednesday, April 15 to Friday, April 17, 2026.

At this year's "Barrier Free 2026," Daihatsu will showcase light welfare vehicles such as wheelchair-accessible vehicles and vehicles with lifting seats, as well as the "e-SNEAKER," a mobility device supporting short-distance travel. Furthermore, within the booth, there will be dedicated areas for mobility services, introducing "Rakupita Shuttle," which was renewed in October 2025 to meet the evolving shuttle needs in the complex welfare and care sector, and the welfare care/shared shuttle service "Goissho."

Under its corporate philosophy of "Close to our customers, enriching their lives," Daihatsu offers a diverse lineup of welfare vehicles under the "Friendship Series," tailored to various user care needs. This has been well-received by many customers, enabling Daihatsu to secure the No. 1 share in light welfare vehicles. To deliver high-quality, affordable products to customers in a timely manner, Daihatsu has historically undertaken in-house production of welfare vehicles. This is achieved through mixed production with base vehicles at its Shiga (Ryuo) Plant Second District and Daihatsu Kyushu Co., Ltd. Oita (Nakatsu) First Plant. Concurrently, Daihatsu is pursuing various initiatives aiming for a society where everyone can move freely, such as deploying mobility services tailored to local communities and the elderly.

Moving forward, Daihatsu will continue to advance its efforts with both "manufacturing" and "experience creation" to realize a mobility society that enriches customers' lives through the provision of products and services that contribute to the welfare and care domain.
