Daiichi Engei Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Koji Yamamura; Mitsui Fudosan Group), a company engaged in horticulture and greenery-related businesses, will participate for the fourth time in the 'Summer Wakuwaku Kids Festival 2026' (hosted by Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., President & CEO: Jun Ueda), to be held on July 18 (Sat) and 19 (Sun), 2026, at Prism Hall, Tokyo Dome City, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, and from July 24 (Fri) to 26 (Sun), 2026, in the Nihonbashi area.
※ Daiichi Engei's exhibition in the Nihonbashi area will be on July 24 (Fri) only.
A diverse range of companies will participate in this event, offering opportunities for children and parents to enjoy learning about SDGs during summer vacation, including activities suitable for school free research projects.
This event is an experiential program themed 'Learning about SDGs Together as a Family.' It provides children with unique hands-on experiences through workshops based on various companies’ sustainability initiatives, creating opportunities for families to learn about SDGs in a fun and engaging way.
Beyond creating memorable summer experiences for families, the event aims to inspire children’s interest in future careers and encourage them to view SDGs initiatives as personally relevant.
This year marks the fourth participation by Daiichi Engei. To reach more children and enhance experiential learning, the company will exhibit for the first time at two venues: Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall and the Nihonbashi area.
Details of Daiichi Engei’s Exhibitions
[Exhibition at Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall]
At the Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall booth, Daiichi Engei will host a workshop that upcycles fresh flowers that cannot be sold as products—due to broken stems, missing petals, or other reasons—into dried flowers for creative reuse.
In the workshop, participants will fill bottle-shaped containers with colorful dried flowers to create unique, long-lasting floral decorations. This activity allows participants to experience how materials once deemed unusable can be transformed through creativity and care into new value, enriching both daily life and the environment.
Completed works can be taken home, making this workshop ideal for summer free research projects.
Additionally, the booth will feature panels introducing Daiichi Engei’s SDGs initiatives and a photo spot decorated with artificial flowers.
We invite you to experience this special opportunity to nurture children’s creativity and inspire future learning.
※ Our workshops operate on a prior reservation basis and will close once capacity is reached.

[Nihonbashi Area]
In the Nihonbashi area, Daiichi Engei will offer a painting experience for 'Edo Wind Chimes,' a beloved summer tradition in Japan.
This hands-on workshop allows children to learn about design in a fun way while experiencing the craftsmanship culture of Shinohara Fūrin Honpo, a long-established wind chime maker.
Participants will experience the unique Edo wind chime technique of painting on the inside of glass, while also learning about the cultural reasoning behind it—such as 'Why do we paint from the inside?'—deepening their understanding of the joy of craftsmanship and traditional Japanese culture.
The workshop is designed to be child-friendly and accessible even to first-time participants. Completed wind chimes can be taken home, making them perfect keepsakes for summer memories.
Experience a special moment of 'creating, feeling, and learning' while crafting your own one-of-a-kind Edo wind chime.
