Infcurion Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroki Maruyama; hereinafter 'Infcurion') and DCP Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO & COO: Keio Hirako; hereinafter 'DCP') announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding joint exploration for the social implementation of new financial services utilizing tokenized deposits (hereinafter 'MOU').

As 'agentive commerce'—where AI agents autonomously conduct economic activities and payments—becomes increasingly tangible, particularly overseas, both companies aim to achieve the social implementation of on-chain financial infrastructure by connecting and integrating payment platforms such as 'Xard' and 'Axios' with the tokenized deposit 'DCJPY'. The initial focus will be on three specific areas: card payments, public subsidies (e.g., from municipalities), and purpose-based savings.

Background of the MOU Rapid advancements in AI technology have led to the emergence of 'agentive commerce,' where AI agents autonomously execute economic activities and payments, primarily overseas. This marks a pivotal turning point in the payment landscape. Infcurion published a white paper on agentive commerce titled 'AI × Digital Currency: The Dawn of a New Era in Shopping' (Note 1) on June 22, 2026, highlighting the opportunities and risks businesses face amid these changes, as well as the need for cross-industry preparedness.

As these next-generation economic activities are expected to coexist with traditional commerce, future payment infrastructure must achieve an optimal fusion of digital currencies beyond conventional frameworks and existing payment systems. It is essential that Infcurion's payment platforms—such as the next-generation card issuance platform 'Xard (Exard)' and the next-generation full-cloud acquiring platform 'Axios (Axios)'—seamlessly connect with cutting-edge digital currencies to realize a next-generation payment environment.

Infcurion, which has promoted the social implementation of embedded finance, and DCP, which is building a platform for tokenized deposits (digital currency DCJPY), have now signed the MOU. By combining their respective strengths, they aim to promote the adoption and utilization of on-chain financial infrastructure (Note 2) capable of supporting future autonomous payments, with a vision toward integrating payment platforms such as 'Xard' and 'Axios' with the digital currency DCJPY.

Note 1: 'AI × Digital Currency: The Dawn of a New Era in Shopping' is a white paper summarizing the latest trends in 'agentive commerce/payment,' where AI goes beyond simple information retrieval and summarization to deeply engage in the purchasing process through autonomous reasoning and action, along with the role of digital currencies supporting it, and the opportunities and risks businesses face. <Press Release URL: https://infcurion.com/news/news-20260622_001/>

Main Areas of Exploration

Based on the MOU, the two companies will undertake the following explorations. (Note: The illustrations below are conceptual representations of the envisioned outcomes of this joint exploration.)

① On-Chain Transformation of Card Business via Integration of Tokenized Deposit DCJPY with 'Xard' and 'Axios'

The companies aim to integrate Infcurion's 'Xard' into the DCJPY platform to enable cardholders to pay their card balances using DCJPY. This would allow cardholders greater flexibility in managing payments, such as freely setting repayment dates. For merchants, if they adopt Infcurion's 'Axios' and hold a DCJPY account, sales revenue could be automatically credited instantly, improving cash flow.

For financial institutions, introducing debit cards typically involves significant impact on accounting systems and high barriers. However, by adopting the DCJPY system, issuing debit cards via 'Xard' could become feasible as a secondary benefit. Additionally, the companies will explore a multi-bank credit and multi-bank debit concept, enabling automatic and efficient fund transfers from multiple bank accounts for payments.

② Settlements Using Subsidies and Grants Received in DCJPY

The companies aim to add a payment function using subsidies received in DCJPY to 'Anywhere,' a merchant payment solution provided by Link Processing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Infcurion. Government subsidies and grants—such as child-rearing support allowances and welfare taxi vouchers—often have restricted usage or target groups, or rely on paper-based or physical processes, leaving room for efficiency improvements through digital transformation (DX).

Leveraging the strengths of the Infcurion Group, which provides payment infrastructure like 'Anywhere,' and DCP, which has experience in pilot programs for purpose-restricted municipal subsidies, the companies will explore possibilities for improving subsidy programs by reducing user complexity and promoting intended usage through on-chain financial infrastructure.

③ Automation of Saving and Payment in Purpose-Based Savings

The companies aim to integrate tokenized deposit functionality into 'finbee (Finbee),' a purpose-based automatic savings app provided by Nest Egg Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Infcurion. Recently, the saving and purchasing behavior known as 'Save Now Pay Later' (SNPL)—save now, buy later—has been gaining traction. By adding tokenized deposit-based savings and automatic payment functions to 'finbee,' a service supporting SNPL, the companies aim to automate the entire process from purpose-specific saving to payment at the time of purchase, supporting users' planned consumption. Additionally, they will explore integrating DCJPY-based saving and payment functions for purpose-specific savings services into corporate apps and services, enabling seamless saving for purchases followed by payments, thereby enhancing user experience.

Infcurion and DCP will steadily advance the above exploration items based on this MOU and work toward developing and promoting on-chain financial infrastructure necessary for the emerging era of 'agentive commerce,' including exploring additional use cases.
