Delta Trading Japan, based in Shisui-machi, Chiba Prefecture, and led by Representative Director Akimichi Watai, has initiated full-scale efforts to launch 'TACT,' a brand that reinterprets traditional Japanese yokan as a modern energy supplement.

The brand's prototype model, 'TACT1,' is currently being test-marketed in Japan and Australia and is available for purchase on the company's EC site, 'JAPAN HUB.'

Under the concept of 'The New Classic Japan,' the company aims to adapt traditional Japanese culture to modern lifestyles and values for future generations. Their first project, 'TACT,' redesigns yokan—a long-loved traditional food—as a clean energy snack for athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and the wellness-conscious.

TACT1 is a modern Japanese energy snack consisting of bite-sized salt yokan. It is gluten-free, additive-free, and vegan-friendly, using beet sugar instead of refined white sugar. Crafted with artisanal sea salt from the Japanese Pacific coast, it enhances the natural sweetness of the adzuki beans, offering a smooth texture and a clean finish that is easy to consume during exercise. (Contains 15 bars, 20g each).

While international products dominate the current energy food market, Japan possesses a rich history of portable yokan. TACT focuses on this value, challenging itself to propose it as a new culture rather than just preserving tradition.

In pre-launch tasting surveys conducted in Australia, the product received favorable feedback. The company confirmed that by providing appropriate branding, storytelling, and design, the product has significant consumer acceptance.

Delta Trading Japan is currently securing funding for full-scale sales and plans to participate in sports and fitness events. They intend to enhance brand value by building connections with athletes and communities through real-world usage scenarios.
