Jukusen, a service for selecting cram schools operated by DeltaX Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Tsuyoshi Kuroiwa), conducted a survey regarding 'high school part-time jobs.' The study targeted 100 parents of high school students who have had part-time work experience. The survey revealed that 79% of parents cited 'gaining social experience' as the primary benefit, followed by 'learning the value of money' (75%) and 'gaining a sense of responsibility' (53%). Notably, 0% of parents answered that there were no positive aspects to their children's employment. Every parent surveyed felt that their child grew and learned through their part-time job. Specific feedback included children developing an adult perspective, understanding the difficulty of earning money, and improving time management skills. In terms of where students work, restaurants were the most common workplace. This is likely because the service industry has frequent openings and offers flexible shift scheduling.
