Elecall Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture; President and CEO: Yosuke Kondo; hereinafter 'Elecall') announces that the Kanagawa Individual Taxi Cooperative (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Chairman: Hiroyuki Abe; hereinafter 'Kanagawa Individual Taxi'), operating primarily in Yokohama, has introduced and commenced operations using the cloud-based dispatch system 'DS,' the external service connection system 'DS Connect,' and the dispatch outsourcing service 'Taxi CC.'

Additionally, by leveraging 'DS Connect,' Kanagawa Individual Taxi has successfully introduced the taxi apps 'S.RIDE' and 'Uber.' This enables centralized management of dispatch requests from both taxi booking apps and phone calls, improving dispatch efficiency and expanding revenue opportunities.

Background

Kanagawa Individual Taxi operates in the Keihin area centered on Yokohama City and is one of the largest individual taxi cooperatives in the prefecture, with approximately 400 member drivers. This urban region has diverse mobility needs, including tourism, business travel, and access to Haneda Airport. The cooperative has long provided high-quality transportation services through experienced drivers. With increasing usage by tourists, business travelers, and inbound foreign visitors, there has been a growing demand for app-based dispatch services in recent years.

To continue providing stable transportation services while meeting increasingly diverse user needs, Kanagawa Individual Taxi recognized the necessity of improving dispatch efficiency and enhancing digital capabilities. Additionally, upgrading the existing dispatch system to ensure flexibility and adaptability to future changes had become a key challenge.

Reasons for Adopting Elecall's Services

When considering the adoption of a new dispatch system, Kanagawa Individual Taxi prioritized:

- Improving dispatch efficiency and enabling centralized management - Responding to the growing demand for app-based dispatch - Ensuring stable operations during nighttime hours - Building a flexible operational foundation capable of supporting future service expansions

Specifically, the following factors were highly evaluated:

- The ability to streamline and centrally manage dispatch operations - Integration with dispatch apps to meet rising app-based demand - Stable operations during nighttime hours through dispatch outsourcing, even when staffing is difficult - The capability to build an operational foundation that can flexibly adapt to future service expansions

Benefits of Implementation

Dispatch requests from phone calls, as well as multiple dispatch apps such as 'S.RIDE' and 'Uber,' can now be centrally managed on a single in-vehicle tablet and unified interface provided by Elecall. This eliminates the need for drivers to switch between multiple devices, reducing operational burden and enabling better focus on driving. Furthermore, without significantly altering existing workflows, seamless dispatch combining phone and app bookings is now possible, enhancing responsiveness to diverse mobility needs.

Additionally, during nighttime hours, the use of Elecall's dispatch outsourcing service 'Taxi CC' enables the establishment of a stable dispatch operation system. This reduces the burden on cooperative members and ensures continuous, reliable service during peak demand periods such as late-night dining and post-last-train travel.

Moving forward, Elecall will continue to support taxi operators in reducing operational burdens and maximizing revenue opportunities, contributing to improved convenience in regional transportation.
