Online Seminar for Parents of ADHD Children Facing School Challenges (June 3)

Nicotto!Juku, an online parenting school operated by Pastel Communication (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kayoko Yoshino) that provides learning and consultation for mothers raising children with developmental disabilities or in the gray zone, will host an online live event on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM. The theme is "What Moms Need to Know to Raise ADHD Kids Who Cause School Trouble into Happy Adults."

From phone calls from school and repeated warnings to temper tantrums at home, parents of children with ADHD tendencies often struggle with behavioral issues that do not improve even when scolded. Recently, however, school problems are being viewed not just as "problem behavior," but also in relation to home life, daily rhythms, and brain fatigue.

The session will be led by Shiori Mizumoto, a Master Trainer in Developmental Science Communication. Mizumoto herself has experience raising an ADHD child. Based on this experience, she advocates focusing on the times when a child's brain hits its limit rather than just "scolding," and has successfully improved relationships by reviewing how children spend their mornings, after-school hours, and evenings.

The seminar will cover perspectives on rethinking school trouble as part of a child's overall daily life rather than just a school issue. Specifically, it will help identify the best times for intervention based on child types: - Types who start the day with brain fatigue. - Types who work too hard at school and explode after returning home. - Types whose nighttime anxiety or stimuli lead to poor conditions the next morning.

June is a time when the tension of the new school semester starts to loosen, making it crucial to shift the perspective from "being scolded again" to building successful experiences.
