Restaurant 'Monsieur Dior' promises a timeless moment at the heart of the newly opened 'House of Dior Shinsaibashi' in Osaka. This unique space, designed by architect Peter Marino, is an homage to the gardens that captivated Christian Dior. Anne-Sophie Pic, the female chef with the most Michelin stars globally, has created a poetic menu guided by a quest for harmony and emotion. It is a sensory experience blending French cuisine with her initial memories of Japan.

Here, a series of dishes evoking Dior's history and symbols, from 'Cannage' to 'Oval' and leopard print, are served. Named 'La Toile Blanche,' 'Les Pétales,' and 'La Plot,' these dishes showcase couture-like elegance accentuated by the chef's culinary excellence.

In a light-filled space with bright tones, floral-patterned armchairs add a soft atmosphere, and the wine cellar holds 1,001 precious bottles for pairings with each dish. You can experience unforgettable moments in the private room decorated with paintings by Jorge Galindo. The restaurant also displays art pieces carefully curated by Peter Marino. A Carine Laval installation celebrating the beauty of nature welcomes visitors on the first floor, and the journey continues to the fourth floor. There, the magnificent image of the Château de La Colle Noire, Monsieur Dior's favorite hideaway where he loved to relax, is reflected in the main dining room through the interaction of light and mirrors. The arts of gastronomy and fashion meet enchantingly, providing an unparalleled sensory experience.

Anne-Sophie Pic conceived 'La Toile Blanche' as the opening for this bespoke menu. This dish delicately interprets scallops, served in perfect white. Its delicate, almost fabric-like veil evokes the atelier's toile. Creamy rice with citrus-scented sake adds the final touch to the whole.

'L’Œuf Dior' (Dior Egg) pays homage to the charming symbol Jonathan Anderson used for his invitation to his first fashion show at Maison Dior. The chef has reconstructed this timeless code into a luxurious version, accompanied by crispy green seaweed and caviar.

'Les Berlingots ©ASP' is the chef's signature, here filled with Comté cheese and served with peas, wasabi, and a wild celery sauce. It is a unique variation conceived as a gastronomic homage to Mizza Bricard, the eternal muse of the founder Christian Dior, who wore a playful leopard print.

'Le Millefeuille Blanc' (White Mille-feuille) concludes the experience. Characterized by a houndstooth pattern, this dessert develops textures layered like delicious, sweet textiles. Fragrant with vanilla and jasmine, this exquisite dessert evokes the iconic Miss Dior fragrance and the pattern that adorned its original case.

The wonderful journey from Paris to Osaka began on May 21. You can find out how to make reservations via the link here.
