The number of job listings posted on "Baitoru" totaled approximately 409,000, representing a 20.9% increase year-on-year and a 2.2% decrease month-on-month.

The average hourly wage in the Kanto region was ¥1,422 (up ¥41 year-on-year, up ¥3 month-on-month), in the Tokai region ¥1,339 (up ¥50 year-on-year, down ¥36 month-on-month), in the Kansai region ¥1,366 (up ¥53 year-on-year, up ¥2 month-on-month), and in the Kyushu region ¥1,318 (up ¥186 year-on-year, down ¥1 month-on-month).

Survey Overview

Since March 2018, job categories have been revised to align with the nine occupational categories disclosed by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Month-on-month and year-on-year comparisons are recalculated using the new nine-category framework for average hourly wages from January 2016 onward.

The data is calculated from job postings with hourly wages listed on the part-time job listing site "Baitoru" and the recruitment page creation service "Recruitment Page Kobot," excluding the following categories:

- Excluded data: Job postings with "temporary staffing" employment type, alcohol-focused hospitality restaurants

- Categories with fewer than 10 samples are marked as "-"

- Aggregation areas:
