Dive Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shintaro Nonaka, hereinafter referred to as Dive), which operates a human resources service business specializing in tourist facilities within the Dive Group, will hold a "Staff Networking Event" for resort part-time workers currently employed in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture, on July 22, 2026.

Our survey revealed that over half of resort part-time workers prioritize "connections with peers of the same generation" and more than 40% expect "deep interaction with local residents." This event aims to support the "horizontal connections with peers of the same generation beyond the workplace" and "community building that delves into the local area" that these staff members anticipate, by providing support on-site. The goal is to alleviate anxieties about living, and to support a secure working environment and sustainable contribution to the local community.

Background and Objectives of the Event

In Okinawa Prefecture, a leading resort destination in Japan, tourism demand is rapidly expanding, while labor shortages at the operational level have become a serious issue. In this context, personnel working locally through resort part-time jobs become key players supporting the regional industry. According to a survey conducted by our company, the most important relationships for resort part-time workers to foster during their employment period were "connections with peers of the same generation and fellow resort part-time workers" (52.7%), followed by "deep interaction with local residents" (43.0%). These results suggest that resort part-time work is expected to serve not only as employment opportunities and working conditions but also as a venue for diverse community formation in the local area. However, for workers gathered from all over the country, it has remained a challenge to spontaneously expand their communities beyond the workplace within their limited living environments. Dive has planned this networking event to respond to these positive expectations on-site and to improve satisfaction with local life and alleviate feelings of loneliness. By promoting information exchange and interaction among participants, we will support the creation of a more fulfilling living environment locally.
