NTT DOCOMO, INC. (Docomo) will launch 'Anshin Security Standard Plan Fraud Countermeasures Plus' (Standard Plan Fraud Plus) and 'Anshin Security Total Plan Fraud Countermeasures Plus' (Total Plan Fraud Plus) on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. These plans aim to provide a safer mobile experience by strengthening features against nuisance calls and various scams.
With the launch of these new plans, new registrations for the existing 'Anshin Security Total Plan' will be suspended on May 27, 2026.
The 'Fraud Countermeasures Plus' plans introduce features such as 'Nuisance Call Rejection' and 'Fraud Check' in addition to existing functions. The Standard Plan Fraud Plus will be available for 999 yen (tax included) per month, while the Total Plan Fraud Plus will be 1,815 yen (tax included) per month.
Key Features of the New Plans:
1. Nuisance Call Rejection (Blocking suspicious incoming/outgoing calls) In addition to the current warning screen display, users can now select a setting to automatically 'reject' calls from suspicious numbers registered in the nuisance call database. This allows customers to avoid responding to domestic calls estimated to be nuisance or dangerous without having to make their own judgment.
2. Fraud Check By uploading screenshots of SNS chat screens, suspicious websites, or email bodies to the 'Anshin Security' app, AI analyzes the text to determine the possibility of nine types of fraud, including romance scams and investment scams. The assessment results, along with reasons, help users decide whether to continue using the app or service.
3. Fake Image Diagnosis (AI-based deepfake detection) AI analyzes and determines if faces in uploaded images are likely deepfakes. Users can upload screenshots containing images of concern to the app, and results are displayed in three levels. This helps prevent damage from impersonation on SNS.
Docomo has previously offered 'Anshin Security,' 'Standard Plan,' 'Total Plan,' and a 'Free Plan.' With the addition of the new 'Fraud Countermeasures Plus' options, customers can now choose from five different security services to suit their needs. As mobile fraud tactics like SNS-based investment and romance scams grow more sophisticated, Docomo aims to provide an even safer environment for using smartphones and tablets.
To commemorate the renewal, the 'Anshin Security New Plan Release Commemorative Lottery Campaign' will be held from May 27, 2026, to September 30, 2026. Customers who enter the campaign site and apply for any of the eligible plans will be entered into a lottery.
