iPhone's My Number Card Verification Added for "d Card" Online Application Process

NTT DOCOMO, INC. (hereinafter referred to as "Docomo") has commenced support for identity verification using the My Number Card on iPhone (hereinafter referred to as "This Support") for the online application process of "d Card®", starting on Thursday, June 11, 2026. With This Support, customers can complete identity verification without needing to prepare the card itself in advance※1.

When presenting the My Number Card on iPhone within the "d Card" app, customers can tap the "Verify Identity with Apple Wallet" button to preview the information to be used for identity verification. This information is shared after the customer authenticates with Face ID or Touch ID, allowing for easy, convenient, and secure identity verification within the "d Card" app without needing to take out the My Number Card, while confirming the user's intent.

Security and Privacy of My Number Card on iPhone Apple products are designed to give customers control over their information and protect their privacy. Identity Credentials in Apple Wallet provide a secure way to add and use mobile identification, while offering customers security and privacy benefits not possible with physical identification. Customers can review which information will be disclosed each time, and this information is shared after authentication with Face ID or Touch ID. Information about the presentation, such as when, where, and what information was disclosed, is encrypted and stored only on the customer's device. Apple does not know when or where customers share their information.

Identity Credentials in Apple Wallet comply with the ISO 18013-5 and ISO 23220 series standards, which establish clear guidelines for consumer privacy protection.
