DoctorMate Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Physician: Naoki Aoyagi; hereinafter referred to as DoctorMate), which provides medical solutions for caregiving facilities, announces that the number of facilities adopting its various services is expected to reach 10% of the total number of special nursing homes (hereinafter referred to as "Tokuyo": 443 facilities in total) in Fukuoka Prefecture by July 2026 (※1).
Our services are also being adopted nationwide without regional restrictions, and in June 2026, we surpassed 10% of the total approximately 10,000 Tokuyo facilities in Japan.

Fukuoka Prefecture Faces Shortage of Caregiving and Nursing Staff; Medical Service Chosen by "1 in 10" Tokuyo Facilities
Since its founding in 2017, DoctorMate's mission has been to "make everyone's life go upwards." We offer caregiving facilities services such as "Daytime Medical Consultation (※1)," "Nighttime On-Call AgencyTM (※2)," "Online Psychiatrist Care Guidance (※3)," and "DM-study (※4)." In February 2026, we also launched "Nighttime On-Site Visit Option (※2)" in select areas.
In Fukuoka Prefecture (primarily in urban areas), the elderly population and the number of caregiving facilities are rapidly increasing due to population growth. However, a shortage of approximately 7,500 caregiving personnel is projected for 2026, and about 20,000 by 2040 (※5). Furthermore, a shortage of approximately 5,700 nursing staff is expected in 2025 (※6). Coupled with the competition for nurses between medical institutions and caregiving facilities, securing caregiving and nursing staff and reducing the burden on the front lines are critical issues.
In this context, "Nighttime On-Call AgencyTM," launched in 2020, has been chosen as an indispensable solution to alleviate the psychological and physical burden on staff and enhance sustainability. Supported by a proven track record of adoption in over 1,200 facilities nationwide, we are expected to reach a 10% share in Fukuoka Prefecture, with approximately 443 facilities, by July, following our achievement of 10% share nationwide.
※1 This ratio is calculated by our company by dividing our contracted facility count as of July 1, 2026, by the facility count of 11,172 (including 443 in Fukuoka Prefecture) according to Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare statistics as of October 1, 2024.
※5 Based on the required number of caregiving personnel (by prefecture) according to the 9th Phase Long-Term Care Insurance Business Plan by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
※6 Based on Fukuoka Prefecture's "Fukuoka Prefecture Plan under the Act on Promotion of Medical and Long-Term Care Services Integration."

About DoctorMate's Services
※1: Daytime Medical Consultation
A service allowing caregiving staff to easily consult with physicians via chat about medical questions. When a consultation is posted through the dedicated app, a physician's advice will be provided within 24 hours. All staff members can use it any number of times. Consultation content and responses are output as reports, contributing to smooth information sharing within the facility and enhancing staff peace of mind.
※2: Nighttime On-Call AgencyTM & Nighttime On-Site Visit Option
This service is provided by DoctorMate nurses nationwide (nighttime on-call nurses) on behalf of facility nurses for nighttime on-call duties, which are standard practice in inpatient care facilities across the country. Launched in 2020, it contributes to solving medical challenges and staff shortages in caregiving sites. Since February 2026, as an option for "Nighttime On-Call AgencyTM," our partner medical institutions' nurses have been providing "Nighttime On-Site Visit Option" in select areas including Tokyo, where they visit caregiving facilities at night to provide medical care and accompany patients to medical institutions in case of nighttime emergency transport.
※3: Online Psychiatrist Care Guidance
A comprehensive service from online care guidance to medical examinations and electronic prescription issuance by specialized psychiatrists. It significantly reduces the burden of caregiving staff accompanying patients to appointments and the complex task of schedule management. Appropriate medical collaboration is ensured by including preliminary care guidance. It also supports electronic prescriptions, enabling smooth prescription issuance without the hassle of sending original documents.
※4: DM-study
An online medical and legal training service for caregiving staff, used by over 40,000 individuals. With 5-10 minute videos by specialists such as physicians and an intuitive interface, it facilitates knowledge retention during short breaks. It offers a one-stop solution from training planning to tests and document creation for audit responses. It minimizes missed training sessions due to shift work and the burden of complex report management. For the "2026 National Legal Training," it supports multilingual subtitles in 5 languages, including Japanese.
