‘The Tale of Two Bad Mice’ (1904), a story from the Peter Rabbit™ series written by Beatrix Potter (1866–1943), is a narrative set in a dollhouse.
Centered on this story, the exhibition introduces plush toys of Peter Rabbit and his friends, a dollhouse modeled after Hill Top—where Beatrix lived—and dollhouses and dolls from the era in which she was active.
Additionally, the exhibition showcases a dollhouse of ‘The Tale of Two Bad Mice’ created through Yokohama Ningyo no Ie’s interpretation, as well as miniature food dishes featured in the Peter Rabbit series.
We hope this exhibition offers visitors a fresh perspective to enjoy the stories of Peter Rabbit and his friends.
