Drecom Co., Ltd. (HQ: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuki Naito), in collaboration with Manga Box Co., Ltd. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Ryota Yasue), launched a new comic label, 'DRE Box,' specializing in Isekai and fantasy titles on June 6, 2026.
This label merges Manga Box's editorial and media capabilities with Drecom's IP production strengths. The partnership aims to provide readers with exciting and moving stories. Starting today, the label will launch a powerful new lineup for four consecutive months.
Background and Aims of 'DRE Box'
In the digital comic market, the Isekai and fantasy genre maintains high demand and is a crucial category for readers. Drecom has previously released numerous works in this genre through its comic label 'DRE Comics' and light novel label 'DRE Novels.'
To deliver higher-quality stories to more readers, Drecom decided to collaborate with Manga Box, part of the TBS Group. The purpose of this new label is to create manga adaptations based on DRE Novels titles. Manga Box has garnered significant support for its numerous Isekai comic adaptations, such as 'My Death Flags Show No Sign of Ending' (over 1.7 million copies sold) and 'I'm a Combat Slave, but the Dragon That Saved Me Says I'm His Mate' (over 1 million copies sold). Through this partnership, the companies aim to expand the market by leveraging their respective strengths.
Comments from Shunsuke Kitamura, Editor-in-Chief of DRE Novels, Drecom Co., Ltd.
'I am thrilled to launch the new label 'DRE Box' in collaboration with Manga Box, which leads the digital market and has a solid reader base across app and web platforms. By deepening our existing trust and combining Manga Box's platform reach with Drecom's integrated IP production, we aim to maximize the creator's vision and deliver it to our readers. We look forward to the birth of new stories that will fly across the world.'
Comments from Takeshi Matsuzaki, Editor-in-Chief of Manga Box, Manga Box Co., Ltd.
'At Manga Box, we have delivered numerous Isekai and fantasy works that readers enjoy, starting with 'The Knight Who Came to My Home and Decided to Live the Country Life.' As this genre remains in high demand and is strong across all media, we want to provide more readers with quality titles. This desire led to the creation of 'DRE Box' with Drecom.'
'For us, aiming for growth as a digital publisher, establishing our own label is highly significant. Manga Box has apps, websites, and an editorial department creating original works. Drecom, as an original publisher and creator of content already adapted to media, brings powerful resources. We are confident that this synergy will maximize our unique narrative and expansion capabilities.'
'Now, with the power of our authors and both companies, the time has come to reveal our work. We hope these stories will reach as many readers as possible and spread across the world.'
