dunhill Heritage and Leather Goods Exhibition
Dunhill is holding the "dunhill Heritage and Leather Goods Exhibition" at its Ginza flagship store until June 28th, focusing on the enduring heritage of the brand's leather items and their contemporary expression of British craftsmanship. This exhibition, centered around the new leather collection, explores the dialogue between innovation and savoir-faire that has defined Dunhill since its founding in 1893. Under the supervision of Creative Director Simon Holloway, the world of Dunhill's leathercraft is presented through archival pieces and contemporary leather designs.
dunhill Heritage and Leather Goods Exhibition
The exhibition floor is designed as a space that expresses the heritage of the brand's leather goods through contemporary collections. Inspired by the maison's history rooted in saddlery and automotive accessories, it traces the evolution of leathercraft from Alfred Dunhill's early "Motorities" luggage and driving accessories to today's sophisticated leather goods.

At the heart of the exhibition is the iconic leather collection named after the founder, "Alfred." Conceived to embody British male elegance, the Alfred collection reflects Alfred Dunhill's design philosophy of purpose, reliability, intelligence, and permanence.
Characterized by softly tailored, structured forms and understated details inspired by early car trunks, Alfred merges refined functionality with the precise techniques of traditional leathercraft. Iconic details include sculptural double-curve gussets, hand-stitched saddle stitching, and distinctive lock closures.

Particularly noteworthy are the handles of the Alfred collection, reflecting the spirit and techniques of craftsmanship passed down for over 130 years at the Walthamstow workshop. Visitors can experience the exceptional leathercraft techniques and savoir-faire that Dunhill has cherished.
Displayed alongside contemporary collections, archival pieces demonstrate the consistent adherence to Dunhill's design codes and commitment to materials that have been passed down through generations.
To commemorate the exhibition, a series of cultural conversations and private events were held on May 27th and 28th at the Ginza flagship store and SOHO HOUSE TOKYO, welcoming guests.
As part of this, a special talk was held between Creative Director Simon Holloway and Hirofumi Kurino, a leading opinion leader in Japan's fashion industry, discussing the evolving aesthetics of British style in the modern era.
