Popular Niconico Chokaigi Project to be Featured at 'AFA Thailand 2026'!

Dwango Co., Ltd., in collaboration with SOZO Pte Ltd, the organizer of 'Anime Festival Asia' (AFA)—one of Southeast Asia's largest pop culture events—will exhibit at 'AFA Thailand 2026' in Bangkok, held from May 30th to 31st, 2026. The company will host a music stage titled 'niconico LIVE Stage' as part of its international creator cooperation program, 'Asia Creators Cross'.

'Asia Creators Cross' is an initiative aimed at creating opportunities for Japanese creators to succeed globally and for international creators to thrive in Japan. Since its debut at 'AFA Singapore 2024' in November 2024, the program has expanded to overseas events including the 'STRAWBERRY MUSIC FESTIVAL' (Beijing), 'AFA Indonesia 2025' (Indonesia), and 'SMASH!' (Sydney). Participating creators have expanded their reach to local fans through stage performances, merchandise sales, and fan engagement.

At the 'niconico LIVE Stage', the company will host a participation-style live performance project titled 'Cho-BON Dance Japan powered by Dwango', where attendees can dance along to popular anime songs and Vocaloid tracks for a shared sense of unity. The project is supervised and directed by Ukon Takafuji, a Japanese traditional dancer and choreographer known for his work on popular projects such as 'Cho-Niconico Bon Odori' at Niconico Chokaigi. Additionally, DJ performances by popular Vocaloid producers—Yoshida Yasei, picco, and Satapan P—will be held. picco will also perform on the main 'NEXT Stage' on May 30th, and Satapan P will perform on May 31st.

In conjunction with this, a recruitment campaign will start for local creators participating in 'AFA Thailand 2026', 'AFA Singapore 2026', and 'AFA Indonesia 2026' to join 'Creator Cross', a centerpiece project of 'Niconico Chokaigi 2027'.
