e-dash Inc. announced that it has been awarded the 'Energy Measures Support Service' contract by Kochi Prefecture. The company will assist approximately five businesses within the prefecture in visualizing their energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions using 'e-dash,' while providing actionable proposals for emission reductions.
To realize carbon neutrality by 2050, Kochi Prefecture revised its 'Global Warming Countermeasures Implementation Plan' in March 2026. This plan sets ambitious targets, aiming for a reduction of 47% or more by fiscal 2030, 60% or more by fiscal 2035, and 73% or more by fiscal 2040 (all compared to fiscal 2013 levels).
Since emissions from business activities account for more than half of the prefecture's total, accelerating decarbonization among local companies is critical. Consequently, following its 2024 initiative, the prefecture is launching the 'Energy Measures Support Service' to help businesses grasp their current emission status and implement concrete decarbonization actions tailored to their specific operations.
e-dash Inc., having been awarded the contract in 2024, will continue to provide hands-on support for decarbonized management to businesses in the prefecture this year as well.
[Overview of Support] 1. Visualization Support: Using 'e-dash,' businesses can calculate and visualize greenhouse gas emissions simply by uploading energy bills, enabling accurate status tracking even without specialized expertise. 2. Concrete Reduction Proposals: Based on the visualized data, the company will develop and propose reduction scenarios tailored to each business, covering operational improvements, energy-saving equipment, and renewable energy adoption.
Participating companies can receive these support services for free until the end of February 2027.
[How to Participate] Companies wishing to participate must attend an online briefing session (free of charge).
