e-dash Inc. (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Touma Yamazaki; hereinafter "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the "Operational Contract for CO2 Visualization System Implementation Project" by Ota Ward, Tokyo (Ward Mayor: Masanori Suzuki) for the third consecutive year. The Company will commence support for visualizing and reducing CO2 emissions for 10 companies within Ota Ward using "e-dash". This year, more effective support will be provided, including assistance in utilizing subsidies for capital investment.

Background of the Initiative

Ota Ward declared itself a Zero Carbon City in February 2022 and is currently promoting the "Ota Cool Action Citizen's Movement." This movement aims to minimize the impact of climate change by having each resident practice and share global warming countermeasures. The slogan of the movement emphasizes that residents, organizations, businesses, and the ward must work together on global warming countermeasures and expand the circle of action by "visualizing" these efforts.

In Ota Ward, the decarbonization of ward businesses, including offices and factories in the "business and industrial sector," holds a crucial key to achieving these goals. The efforts of companies and their "visualization" are indispensable elements in expanding the circle of action to the entire Ota Ward, which is the aim of Cool Action.

Against this backdrop, the Company has been promoting decarbonization of ward businesses since fiscal year 2024, the launch phase of this project, starting with the visualization of CO2 emissions. After building a solid foundation over the past two years, we will continue to strongly support ward businesses in their further behavioral changes this year.

Overview of Support

The Company will provide the following support to 10 companies in Ota Ward:

1. Easily Visualize Energy Usage, Costs, and CO2 Emissions

The first step in promoting decarbonization is to accurately grasp current emission levels. By using "e-dash," companies can easily and accurately visualize monthly energy usage and CO2 emissions simply by uploading their electricity and gas bills. Even companies that are concerned about "not knowing where to start," "lacking employees with specialized knowledge," or "increasing the burden on employees" can take the first step with peace of mind.

2. Propose Methods to Reduce Your Company's Energy Costs and CO2 Emissions

We go beyond simply presenting numbers and provide concrete next steps. Based on the calculated data, we clarify the challenges for each user and propose optimal reduction methods tailored to each company's business environment and energy usage, such as operational improvements, introduction of energy-saving equipment, or installation of solar power generation. This allows companies to understand scenarios that achieve both efficient cost reduction and emission reduction simultaneously.

3. Provide Information on Various Subsidies Applicable to Reduction Efforts

Based on the visualization results, we provide information on various subsidies and grants that can be utilized for concrete decarbonization initiatives, such as capital investment. We offer appropriate information based on each company's situation and investment plans, considering their industry and specific proposals, thereby reducing concerns and hurdles related to costs and strongly supporting a smooth transition to reduction actions.

Participating companies can receive all of these services free of charge until the end of February 2027.

Through this project, the Company will support the decarbonization management of businesses in Ota Ward, contribute to the implementation of Ota Ward's "Ota Cool Action Citizen's Movement," and realize a Zero Carbon City.
