Early Reflection Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Yoshiyuki Tanaka, hereinafter: Early Reflection), which provides enterprise system development and AI solutions and develops/sells the BIM/CIM facility management cloud "BIMSTOK," implemented a major update in June 2026 that significantly overhauls its existing AI assistant functions. This will enable facility and infrastructure managers to perform model operations, searches, quantity calculations, and analysis through natural language instructions, without needing to acquire specialized BIM/CIM knowledge or complex software operation skills.

Background

In recent years, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has been promoting the principle application of BIM/CIM since fiscal year 2023, with the aim of improving productivity in the construction sector and advancing infrastructure maintenance. On the other hand, there is a challenge in the maintenance field where specialized knowledge of BIM/CIM software operation and data structure is required, leading to models not being fully utilized.

Furthermore, in facility maintenance, the information required by facility managers is diverse, including equipment information, inspection history, quantity information, and related documents. Even if this information exists within the BIM/CIM model, accessing the necessary information requires specialized knowledge and operational skills, posing a hurdle to utilizing BIM/CIM in daily operations.

Early Reflection has enhanced BIMSTOK's AI assistant functions to solve these challenges and realize an environment where anyone can utilize BIM/CIM.

What is the BIM/CIM Facility Management Cloud "BIMSTOK"?

This service enables the utilization of data that has not been used conventionally by linking and visualizing maintenance information with BIM/CIM. Due to its design optimized for maintenance, it does not require high-performance PCs like general BIM/CIM tools, allowing for comfortable operation even on office PCs. It is being introduced as a practical BIM/CIM utilization infrastructure specialized for maintenance operations in infrastructure fields such as dams, roads, bridges, and river facilities, as well as in facility management fields such as government buildings, public facilities, factories, and office buildings.

BIMSTOK's AI Assistant

This update adopts a distributed processing architecture with multiple AI agents to improve response accuracy and speed.

User questions and operation requests are first analyzed by a router AI, which then distributes them to the optimal AI agent based on the processing content, such as "quantity calculation," "information search," or "model operation." By having each agent handle specialized processing, high-speed and high-accuracy responses are achieved.

The main enhancements are as follows:

1. Response Speed: Up to 5x faster response speed compared to previous versions

Distributed processing by multiple AI agents executes the optimal processing for each query. This achieves a response speed 3 to 5 times faster than before.

This brings the AI assistant to a level where it can truly be utilized in practical work. It enables users to obtain necessary information in a shorter time compared to tasks where people manually check models to find information, or perform operations and calculations, directly leading to increased efficiency in information confirmation and decision-making in daily operations.

2. Response Accuracy: Provides more accurate answers

The AI performs calculations, comparisons, and conditional judgments based on model information, not just simple information retrieval. For example, it can handle complex questions that combine multiple pieces of information, such as "number of windows on the second floor" or "total window area."

3. Operability: Model operation via natural language

Through natural language dialogue with the AI, users can perform operations such as selecting, displaying, or hiding elements within the model.

For example,

"Hide the exterior walls."

"Display only the columns."

In response to such instructions, the AI identifies the target elements and performs model operations.

This allows users to easily display and check necessary elements without understanding how to operate BIM/CIM software or the model structure. In the maintenance field, there is a challenge in securing sufficient time to learn new BIM/CIM software operation methods amidst the daily demands of inspections, equipment management, and reporting tasks.

BIMSTOK's AI assistant realizes an environment where users can access necessary information simply by giving instructions to the AI as if they were having a normal conversation, without needing to acquire complex operational skills or specialized knowledge. This enables anyone to utilize BIM/CIM in their daily work without requiring specialized operational skills.

Future Outlook

Early Reflection aims to realize a platform that integrates and utilizes all information related to facilities and infrastructure, starting with BIM/CIM.

In the future, the company aims to create an environment where AI can comprehensively understand not only information within BIM/CIM but also inspection records, information on abnormalities and defects, related documents, and images, allowing users to quickly access the information they need.

Furthermore, by continuously learning and accumulating information for each facility, the company will develop functions that provide answers and suggestions based on past response histories and maintenance records.

By building an environment that allows for the integrated utilization of BIM/CIM, maintenance records, and related documents, the company will support the advancement of information utilization and the efficiency of decision-making in facility and infrastructure management operations.
